This is beautiful, it really is. I know we've talked about this, but it really does feel completely right that Sherlock would freak out at how his feelings for John affected him. I really love the way you have John understanding that just telling Sherlock that it was normal wasn't the way to handle it. That's why John is such a good match for Sherlock - he may not be as brilliant (almost nobody is) but he has the emotional intelligence to "get" the ways in which Sherlock doesn't think like everybody else.
I loved the last sentence "completely lost and utterly found", what a wonderful way of putting it. :)
