I need to get back into writing, the same way I need oxygen to breathe. It's been over a year though and I could do with some prompts.  See my tags for subjects/fandoms/pairings/formats I'm comfortable with, but I'm flexible. Be as specific or as vague as you like.

I can't promise to be quick, but this would really help me begin to edge back in...

BIG DAMN MEGA POST OF DOOM.

Otherwise known as the [livejournal.com profile] watsons_woes July 2011 challenge master post. 31 regular prompts, all on time, plus 10 amnesties, all on time and all connected into one larger story.

That should be a clean sweep, I think.

Now I'm going to go die for a bit and not write anything for... ooh, at least a day. And I will go back through the comm and read all the entries I didn't read because I was too busy writing the damned things.

Of all my fics, I most like And Afterwards Remember/The Claws That Catch for writing quality. I enjoyed writing Left Shoe for Luck and Dashing Hopes for Our Deliverance most. And Lucky starred in With the Queen. This month has seen martians, cows, the Great War, The Second World War, Moriarty several times, tap-dancing Mycrofts, flu, pneumonia, broken legs, allergies, fire, bereavement, revenge, poetry, insanity, drugs, civil ceremonies, shouting, lots and lots of angst, and tea. Sherlock has died twice, John once, and we've been around Reichenbach four times.

God, it's been fun!

AN: Dialogue double drabble. Someone complimented me on my writing speed yesterday but I’m hitting the wall: Harry Potter in an hour and then Third Star (again) at the guildhall, so after that I don’t anticipate being good for anything more than a large whisky. So this is a bit of a cop-out, as I’ve had in mind to write a long prose version of this for a while. Possibly I will in my post-challenge plotbunny grooming programme.

Also, halfway tomorrow! *pants* This is fun, but knackering.

AN: Bit of an odd one - I’m not really in PotC fandom. But I’ve killed Holmes on a ship and written a post-Reichenbach fic where I was mean to John, and given Watson post-hiatus stress disorder, so far this week. He needed a bit of cheering up.

A/N: Er. There's no excuse. The image just grabbed me and then I had to go with it. I will try hard not to make every single prompt fic (a) crackfic (b) deathfic (c) both of the above. I promise to try.

Some phrases are filched from Jeff Wayne who filched them from HG Wells. Also Col. Burton's first name is, of course Richard.

July 3. The Hospital Ship by W. H. Littlejohn

Dashing Hopes for Our Deliverance )
I've been writing like the clappers, and it's FUN. (My internal Watson is protesting that it's very unfair to have fun at his expense. It's a [livejournal.com profile] watsons_woes challenge, dear boy, there are 29 days of whumpage left to go.) Two Holmes prompt fills yesterday (including my first foray into ACD canon, OMG wibble wibble) that both went down well, and then a final kick in the teeth for my Hornblower Remix fic which has gone a bit strange but I think is going to be the version that gets posted.

The plotbunny hutch is getting very very unbalanced though. I think I may have let a boy!bunny in with the girl!bunnies because there are a lot more in there than last time I looked. I might have to decide which ones I'm not proprietorial enough about that I can put them up for adoption.

Today I am going to sit on the sofa and write more I'm going to do some housework. I bloody am. There are some errands to run too, a parcel to sort, but I do at least have to think about today's prompt and polish the remix.

I need more Hornblower bunnies to balance the Holmes bunnies out though. If anyone has any prompts lob them at me (in the understanding that it may take a little while...)
