Iriscon 2011
Aug. 12th, 2011 03:57 pmOr, does anyone fancy a small moot to make a great big fuss of
irisbleufic so she doesn't forget to come back to Blighty?
Friends of
irisbleufic, you know how we're losing her to the USA for a couple of months, and we were gently thinking about arranging a small moot anyway so I wonder if people would be up for getting together and giving her a little send-off?
Mooted date is 11th September (sorry it's only a month's notice), which is a Sunday and Iris can definitely do it, so probably a lunch-and-afternoon sort of arrangement will allow those of us who are not Londoners to be able to get home after - anyone who is a Londoner or can scratch up a bed somewhere, I recommend you keep drinking until tolerance and the fact that it's a school night make you stop. I don't anticipate anything like the amount of walking as the January moot - largely selfishly, because I'm on the stick quite a bit at the moment (and it's not psychosomatic, sadly).
So, expressions of interest? If there's a handful of us I'll probably book a little restaurant in Chinatown - if there are a lot of us I'll book a bigger restaurant, and if half of LJ decides they can come we'll colonise Regent's Park with a picnic. If no-one else wants to come at all I suspect
tearelateddream and I will be dragging
irisbleufic to the pub regardless.
Let me know if you're free/up for it/etc.
I know a lot of
irisbleufic's people aren't on my flist, so could you point those on your flists to this? If the lady herself could repost and ask people to let me know that would be extremely useful. XD
