Hobbit housewife levels of cooking
Aug. 13th, 2011 01:49 pmSince returning from Cornwall I have become a bit of a cooking fiend. I can't share my jam recipes as I don't use recipes, just lob together what I have and boil the hell out of it until it tastes right and sets well. But I have come up with a couple of home-made recipes which seem to have worked and so I have put them up on Epicurious.
Desserts:
Honey lavender sorbet
Mint and rosewater sorbet This is probably more a palate cleanser than a dessert per se.
Veg*n honey ice cream
Scones:
Vegan cheese and rosemary scones
Honey and rosewater scones
Relishes:
Red onion relish
Drinks:
Masala chai I worked this one out ages ago, but I only got around to writing it down recently.
Recent & this week's jams include:
Apple blackberry jam
Mixed plum jam
Apple mint jelly
Apple rosemary jelly
Apple and elderberry jam (entirely from garden produce)
Blackberry and port jelly
That's quite a lot. If anyone wants to bid for a particular flavour let me know. I can bring some to Oxonmoot or Iriscon.
